Join us on a walk or a street stall

Come and find out more about the natural history of the area on a walk with a local naturalist. We’ll be discovering what birds, animals, trees, plants and insects make this area special.

Meet at 10am on Saturday 3 August at Frome Terrace green, DT1 1JQ.

We’re also going to be running some street stalls in August and September. If you can help us, let us know.

Help our colleagues in Bridport

Advearse is a group of local people campaigning against another large scale development on the edge of Bridport. They’re raising money for a judicial review of the decision to build houses within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Join a Community Land Trust…

… and help provide housing for need, not housing for greed. The Dorchester Area Community Land Trust is planning brownfield developments in the county town.

Taking our protest to the new Dorset Council

9.30 am Thursday 16 May 2019, South Walks House, Dorchester

The new Dorset Council meets for the first time at 10am on Thursday 16 May. We’ll be there to let them know that we want them to look again at housing land allocation for Dorset and to remove the scheme for 3,500 houses north of Dorchester.

We’re asking STAND supporters to print out a STAND postcard, fold it in half and stick the  sides together so that the pictures are on the front. Then add your message and bring it along to present to the new councillors – or post it if you can’t come on Thursday.

You can find a list of your local councillors here.

A successful March for Dorch

Over 300 people joined us on Easter Monday to protest about the proposed building on Dorchester’s meadows and downland. You can read the Daily Mail article about it here.
