On 4th October 2025, STAND joined the Thomas Hardy Society, the Dorchester Transport Action Group and West Dorset CPRE in organising a protest against plans for a massive housing development north of Dorchester. In addition to these organisations, speakers at the protest included Dorchester Mayor Andy Canning, Chair of Stinsford Parish Council Sarah Jane Pattison, and former Mayor and Town Crier Alistair Chisholm.
