STAND stands by the Dorset Campaign for the Protection of Rural England in their bold call for Dorset Council to challenge the government’s unrealistic housing target for Dorset:

Despite a history of massive opposition to building 4,000 houses north of Dorchester this proposal will still be part of the new Local Plan in order to meet that target. We need housing that reflects local needs with a priority for social and affordable housing. A car-dependent development on the scale of the north of Dorchester isn’t needed. It will pollute our drinking water and put huge pressure on our environment, our heritage and our health and education services.

Contact your local Councillors and MPs and ask them to be bold and STAND up to the government.
